Students in my class recorded some voice overs in multipe clips. We want to combine them into one track in quicktime 10.2. However the choice to copy the track is grayed out. How can we combine the tracks into one in quicktime 10.2?
I have two track (different snare sounds) that I want to merge onto one but cannot figure out how to do it despite intensive googling. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this in garageband 10? They are midi tracks if that helps, I read somewhere that you could only do this with midi tracks but it didn't say HOW to do it. Close the GarageBand project. Find that project in the Files app (it’s inside iCloud Drive GarageBand for iOS ). It’s not letting me merge tracks, please help! I need to merge my FX on one of my vocal tracks and its not letting me. The merge button doesn’t exist in my GarageBand for some odd reason.
You don't. Use QT 7 Pro or GarageBand instead. (Video editors will also merge multiple audio tracks but they are likely more limited than QT 7 Pro which allows up to 99 data tracks.) GarageBand, also based on older QT 7 Pro technology, allows you to segment tracks, set track or selected track segment volumes to duck track or track segments, adjust or 'rubberband' master track volumes, adjust stereo pan for track or selected track segments as well as, 'slide' tracks or track segments along the time axis and apply numerous enhancements beyond my ability to even remember here.

GarageBand User Guide for iPhone
You can merge (or bounce) any number of unmuted tracks in a song. This can be useful if you reach the maximum number of tracks for a song, but want to add more Touch Instruments.
When you merge tracks, the tracks are replaced with a single track containing a stereo audio file in a new copy of the song. The original song is available in the My Songs browser, so you can edit the original tracks.

You can also merge one or more tracks with the FX track. Any effects recorded to the FX track are added to the new Audio Recorder track, and the FX track is turned off (so the effects are audible only on the new track). For information about using the FX track, see Remix a song with GarageBand for iPhone.
